CSABA MOLNÁR-HA6PX
(1968.12.19-2025.03.16)
Csaba Molnár was born in Salgótarján, on December 19, 1968. He was born into to the hobby because his father was Sándor Molnár HA6NA (SK). He obtained his individual call sign (HA6PX) in 1985. After the school, he returned home to Salgótarján, where he worked in the local club HA6KNB-HG6N and later became its vice president. He has been a member of the HG-HQ team since 1989 and has been a world champion 7 times. He has participated in the Hungarian HB0 and Liechtenstein DX expeditions. At the age of 19, he married his wife Ildiko, HA6XQ, with whom he was married for 37 years. They had a daughter (HA6AA Léna) and a son. From 2022 until his death, he was the president of the Hungarian Amateur Radio Society. He played a major role in educating the next generation, which he held very dear to his heart. And he built a good-working association successfully. In a few years, he managed to turn that handful of young people into a good number of young amateurs with callsigns. He selflessly helped everyone, worked with full dedication for Hungarian amateur radio, for the association, for us, for young people. He didn't just talk, he didn't make promises, he acted. He always welcomed guests at his home. We lost an extremely honest, cheerful man.
I had a very close relationship with him, I considered him a friend. We talked every day. He was the one I could turn to for help at any time. We often spent hours on the phone. I learned a lot from him. I really learned to compete from him. I visited them a lot, and later I got to HG6N through him. He supported me in everything, and he also helped me a lot in building my station. I could call him anytime, I could always count on him. He worked for us without sparing time and energy. He also traveled to Hódmezővásárhely several times. I can thank him a lot for making me who I am today. His death is incredible, he was extremely young, only 56 years old, I thought we would still be talking decades later…:((
I have lost my greatest mentor and role model!
These lines were hard for me to write. I miss him terribly, I loved him very much…
This is a huge loss for the Family, Friends, the Young People, and the entire Hungarian Amateur Radio Society.
Csaba, Rest in Peace! We will keep your memory in our hearts forever:(
I am grateful to have known you! Thank you for everything!
